During this 3 hour course, participants will discuss the importance of communication between child care professionals and families as an ongoing necessary component of a quality program. Participants will examine hidden biases that may hinder open communication between themselves and families. Participants will gain skills, strategies and techniques in planning and conducting effective family, teacher conferences to build a cohesive partnership that benefits children's success. Course material will be presented online in the form of audio/visual slides and video. Some practice assignments will be in PDF format and viewable through your browser or downloaded. All participants must have a computer or device with internet access as this program is accessible with all internet browsers, though Google Chrome is most compatible. There are no prerequisites for this course. Course must be completed within 30 days once enrolled. All sales are final. Please ensure this is the correct course you need BEFORE beginning the first module. No refunds, exchanges or course swaps will be permitted once a participant starts the Introduction Module. Participants will earn 0.3 IACET CEUs in the Content Areas of Child Development and Special Needs, when the course has been (1) paid in full, (2) all modules are completed and (3) the Post-Assessment Test is passed with a score of 75% or higher. Certificates will be emailed to the address that was used to register for the course.
