Family/Teacher Conferences: What to Say, When You Don't Know What to Say (Virginia)

During this 3 hour course, participants will discuss the importance of communication between child care professionals and families as an ongoing necessary component of a quality program. Participants will examine hidden biases that may hinder open communication between themselves and families. Participants will gain skills, strategies and techniques in planning and conducting effective family, teacher conferences to build a cohesive partnership that benefits children's success. All participants must have a computer or device with internet access as this program is accessible with all internet browsers, though Google Chrome is most compatible. There are no prerequisites for this course. Course must be completed within 30 days once enrolled. All sales are final.
