■ STORY VOICES: The Importance of Selecting Culturally Responsive Literature for All Children 2 Hours | $22 per participant In this 2 hour course, participants will identify the importance of culturally responsive literature that represents the home cultures of families and children. Reflective learning opportunities will include how ethnic, cultural and special needs children's literature builds respect for the social context that children and families bring with them. PREREQUISITES: There are no prerequisites required for this course. HOURS BREAKDOWN: 0.2 IACET CEUs or 2 COK hours: Child Development- 2 LEARNING OUTCOMES/OBJECTIVES: Participants will be able to: 1. Identify the importance of cultural influences on development through culturally responsive literature for all children. 2. Recognize the value and importance of People First Language. 3. Identify the importance of families serving as the first and most influential component of a child’s development.

■ OVERVIEW OF PREVENT-TEACH-REINFORCE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN MODULE 6 | Pyramid Model for Preschool Classrooms 2 Hours | $22 per participant In this module, practitioners learn about the steps of Prevent-Teach-Reinforce for Young Children (PTR-YC) and how PTR-YC is used as a manualized process for conducting a functional behavioral assessment and developing a behavior support plan. PREREQUISITES: There are no prerequisites required for this course. HOURS BREAKDOWN: 0.2 IACET CEUs or 2 COK Hours: Special Needs- 2 LEARNING OUTCOMES/OBJECTIVES: Participants will: 1. Identify PTR-YC as a manualized process for conducting a functional behavioral assessment and developing a behavior support plan; 2. Identify the major steps in the PTR-YC process and understand the role of team members in each step.

■ INTRODUCTION & UNDERSTANDING SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT MODULE 1 | Pyramid Model for Infant/Toddler Classrooms 2 Hours | $22 per participant As the first training module in the Pyramid Model Infant-Toddler Module Series, Understanding Social-Emotional Development will acquaint participants with the Pyramid Model, introduce important terms that will be used throughout the Pyramid Model training modules, and lay a foundation to better understand the role caregivers play in young children’s social-emotional development. PREREQUISITES: There are no prerequisites required for this course. HOURS BREAKDOWN: 0.2 IACET CEUs or 2 COK Hours: Child Development- 2 LEARNING OUTCOMES/OBJECTIVES: Participants will be able to: 1. Describe the basic components of the Pyramid Model for Promoting Social-Emotional Competence in Infants and Young Children; 2. Become familiar with how social-emotional development is defined for the purpose of the Pyramid Model training modules; 3. Learn about the caregiver’s supportive role as it relates to social-emotional growth and development.

■ RESPONSIVE ROUTINES, SCHEDULES & ENVIRONMENTS MODULE 3 | Pyramid Model for Infant/Toddler Classrooms 2 Hours | $22 per participant In Responsive Routines, Schedules, & Environments, a module of the Pyramid Model Infant-Toddler Module series, participants will learn how being intentional about establishing daily routines and setting up the environment can: help young children feel confident and secure, paving the way for social-emotional growth; promote children’s active and safe exploration and learning; and facilitate positive child-peer and adult-child interactions. PREREQUISITES: There are no prerequisites required for this course. HOURS BREAKDOWN: 0.2 IACET CEUs or 2 COK Hours: Child Development- 2 LEARNING OUTCOMES/OBJECTIVES: Participants will be able to: 1. Describe the importance of caregiving routines and identify strategies to support social-emotional development; 2. Identify key ways the physical environment can promote social-emotional development in infants and toddlers; 3. Support families in promoting routines and environments that promote social-emotional development of infants and toddlers.

■ UNDERSTANDING BEHAVIOR MODULE 4 | Pyramid Model for Infant/Toddler Classrooms 2 Hours | $22 per participant Working with infants and toddlers is rewarding, but it can also sometimes be challenging. In Understanding Behavior, a module of the Pyramid Model Infant-Toddler Module Series, participants will learn how to use observation to better understand child behavior. We will look at the many influences affecting behavior and use this knowledge to examine our own beliefs. We will practice reframing our thoughts to better respond to challenging situations. PREREQUISITES: There are no prerequisites required for this course. HOURS BREAKDOWN: 0.2 IACET CEUs or 2 COK Hours: Child Development- 2 LEARNING OUTCOMES/OBJECTIVES: 1. Participants will be able to: Understand and describe that all young children’s behavior is a way of communicating and has meaning; 2. Use a variety of strategies, including observation and self-reflection, to increase capacity to support the social-emotional development of infants, toddlers, and their families.

■ TEACHING ABOUT FEELINGS MODULE 5 | Pyramid Model for Infant/Toddler Classrooms 2 Hours | $22 per participant In Teaching About Feelings, a module of the Pyramid Model Infant-Toddler Module Series, participants will explore what the development of emotional literacy looks like (i.e., labeling feelings in self and others, recognizing facial and physiological signs, modulating responses, developing coping strategies) and share a variety of strategies teachers can use to support and teach the young early learners in our care about feelings. PREREQUISITES: There are no prerequisites required for this course. HOURS BREAKDOWN: 0.2 IACET CEUs or 2 COK Hours: Curriculum- 2 LEARNING OUTCOMES/OBJECTIVES: Participants will be able to: 1. Learn about emotional literacy and why it is important; 2. Identify strategies teachers can use to help identify and name emotions; 3. Learn how you can use real-life situations to teach about feelings.

■ POSITIVE PEER INTERACTIONS MODULE 6 | Pyramid Model for Infant/Toddler Classrooms 2 Hours | $22 per participant In Positive Peer Interactions, a module of the Pyramid Model Infant-Toddler Module Series, participants will gain knowledge on how to facilitate positive peer interactions and support the development of social and friendship skills, learn about the developmental stages of social and play skills, and apply that knowledge to classroom practices. PREREQUISITES: There are no prerequisites required for this course. HOURS BREAKDOWN: 0.2 IACET CEUs or 2 COK Hours: Curriculum- 2 LEARNING OUTCOMES/OBJECTIVES: Participants will: 1. Learn how to facilitate positive peer interactions; 2. Learn how to support the development of social and friendship skills.
