Understanding how children grow and develop is essential for childcare professionals, educators, and caregivers. "Milestones Matter: Child Development from Infancy to Age 12" is a 5-hour training designed to help professionals recognize and support key developmental milestones in children. This course covers stages of development, the four major developmental domains, typical versus atypical growth patterns, and brain development across childhood. Participants will gain valuable insights into how children learn, grow, and thrive—equipping them with the knowledge to create developmentally appropriate learning environments. Course material will be presented online in the form of audio/visual slides and video. Some practice assignments will be in PDF format and viewable through your browser or downloaded. All participants must have a computer or device with internet access as this program is accessible with all internet browsers, though Google Chrome is most compatible. There are no prerequisites for this course. Course must be completed within 30 days once enrolled. All sales are final. Participants will earn 5 Core of Knowledge Hours in the Area of Child Development when the course has been (1) paid in full, (2) all modules are completed and (3) the Post-Assessment Test is passed with a score of 75% or higher.
